Roke Manor Research Ltd is part of the Chemring Group PLC and provides world class contract research and development across communications, networks and sensors to a wide range of government and commercial customers.  The company is based in Romsey, Hampshire and employs 350 engineers and scientists. Roke provides innovative solutions to a wide range of industrial companies. Current customers include Rolls-Royce, Airbus, Leonardo, Raytheon, Vodafone and Scottish and Southern Electricity. Roke has a world leading capability in GPS anti-jam technology for defence application and has developed anti-jam technology for defence communications and radar. Roke is also a crypto test house for UK Government and has developed leading edge cyber defence capabilities.

Roke has worked with the University of Bristol since the late 1980’s on early 60GHz propagation measurements and also on a project for Ofcom under the Spectrum Efficiency Scheme. More recently, Roke has sponsored PhD students through the CDT in Communications. Currently Roke is working with the University on a project for UK Government that brings together expertise from both parties to advance the state-of-the-art in simultaneous transmit and receive technology.
